Meet Lisa Nunez

Hi, I'm Lisa! I am a speech-language pathologist (SLP) with over 11 years of experience. I earned my master’s degree in Communication Disorders from Texas State University. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work with children in a variety of settings.

I began my career at a residential neurobehavioral center, where I worked with children with severe behavioral needs. I then continued my career in pediatric clinics, supporting children ages 1–18 with a wide range of speech and language challenges. In addition to clinic-based work, I’ve provided services within the school system through teletherapy.

I have experience treating a variety of speech, language, and communication disorders, but my passion lies in early intervention and teletherapy. I love helping children find their voices in ways that feel fun, engaging, and meaningful. Whether I’m working on speech sounds, language development, stuttering, or social communication, my goal is always to create a supportive environment where children feel comfortable, confident, and excited to learn.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked with children of all ages and with diverse needs. I feel fortunate to have collaborated with other professionals, including occupational therapists, physical therapists, teachers, and social workers. These experiences have strengthened my ability to support each child’s growth in a well-rounded and meaningful way. I truly value partnering with families to help carry progress into everyday life. Watching children grow and gain confidence in their communication is the most rewarding part of what I do.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family. I’ve lived in Austin for over 25 years and consider it home. In my free time, I enjoy crafting, crocheting, and drawing. I also love getting outside to hike and explore all the amazing restaurants around Central Texas.
